Dare to Dream
What would you do if nothing were impossible? Take some time and ask yourself “What if I could do absolutely anything?” What would you dream of for yourself, your family and others? Be bold and when you’re creating a vision of your dreams in your mind use vivid, powerful and passionate colours!
Think big, dream big and most importantly believe that you can achieve it! Yes your dream should be something that would stretch you beyond your current realm of possibilities, however it must be realistic (remember your S.M.A.R.T.I.E.S goals). Your subconscious mind does not know the difference between fantasy and reality, so you need to believe in your dreams so much that you imagine they have already come true.
Create the Vision
One habit of highly successful people is the power of VISION. A vision is a picture or idea you have in your mind. A clear vision helps you pursue dreams and achieve your goals and a vision that is clear will open your mind to the endless possibilities for your future.
One reason dreams don’t come to fruition is the dreamer never shares their dream; they keep it a quiet dream inside of their own mind. Dare to share your dream with others, the more you say your dream out loud, the more you will start to believe it yourself! And we recently spoke about accountability- the moment you share your dream with others it creates additional motivation towards it, because you want to show others that you can succeed!
Have a Disciplined Plan
Every dream must be accompanied by a disciplined plan. Dreams don’t come true on their own, you will need to focus on your outcome and create a strategy. Remember if you fail to plan you plan to fail! Start with the end in mind and work backwards to create smaller more manageable steps to success. You can use things like your 7 year plan, 3 year plan and goal card to support you through this process.
Grit is passion and perseverance towards achieving your dreams. Without it, your dream will remain just that, a dream. Once you have dared to dream it, believe it, created your vision, shared it with the world and plan for success – you will need to do the hard work to bring it all together.
Because you have broken your dream down into smaller steps, it is important to celebrate the small wins along the way, this will allow you to feel success, and that feeling will create more passion and perseverance towards your DREAM! When you are finally at the finish line and your dream has come true, remember to relish it! Enjoy the feeling of success and share it with others. Remember to stay humble.
Do it all again
The final step after you have finished celebrating is to go back to step 1 and do it all again. You now have the formula and the knowing that you can achieve anything you put your mind to. Dare to Dream a little bigger this time!!!
